Show categories and subcategories on Shop page

Hi all,

I just can’t get it done to get the categories and subcategories to show in the shop page.
Now its eather the categories or products, but no options for the subcategories.
Preperably i’d even see the main categories and the subcategories to show if possible.

Do I miss an option or is there a function for it?
