I’m not sure what you mean. If you’re talking about the WP-stock categories, then they aren’t associated with Docs by default. Docs use a custom taxonomy, bp_docs_tags, that are shown in the front end by default.

If you want to use Docs with a different, existing taxonomy, you can try this plugin that I wrote to use with categories:

There’s no warranty; it might do what you want, it might not. But it’s worth a try.
