“Show at most” ignoring days

Running WP 2.0.4 — Setting “Show at most” to 5 days and 5 posts does the same thing: shows the last 5 posts, regardless of when they were posted. I tried a couple of different combinations and found that it is always doing “posts”, even if “days” is selected.
