For that you need to use shortcodes. Create a page for that and in your page settings, click on the WC shortcode button icon and it will let you generate the shortcode you need to display the specific category.

The other way is to go to your menus and drag the specific product category to your menu and name it SHOP and when clicked, will display products from only that category.

I couldn’t find a global setting, but on the individual product page there are a few options.

This is found in the right hand column (the PUBLISH column).

You can set Visibility to private, which means it won’t appear in the shop.

There are four options there for Catalog Visibility, one of which is hidden.

That should do it for you!

I didn’t know why none of my products were showing up on the shop page as I had them all set to private!

    Thank you both for advice.

splashingpixelswhen I use short code option it doesn’t display correctly and when trying to use the menu option I cannot pick the woocommerce categories only categories from what I would perhaps used for blogs posts.

sleepymonkthe thing is I don’t want certain products to be shown on my catalogue but I do want them visible on there own pages as these are used more so as a gallery.

@timmer81 – you don’t see it in the menus because it is hidden…move your mouse to top right of your screen in menus settings and click on “screen options” …your solution is in there.

@splashingpixels – ok got that bit sussed thank you.

I created & dragged the product category to the menu named it home and that’s worked but because I have a static home page when logo is clicked it just goes back to the way it was but when the home clicked in nav bar it works as I want.

Is there a way around this?

WP settings->reading->frontpage set to the page you want.

But I can only pick pages from that for my homepage not categories.

Then you can create a page and put a shortcode in there with the categories you want to show. Same thing, just another way to go about it.
