Show all events in custom template

Hi and thanks for all the hard work on the plugin, really appreciate it ??

I’m using various customized templates for Events Manager and all in all it’s going nicely. But… I’m not able to figure out how to display ALL events in my custom category template! Only future events are displayed. I have created taxonomy-event-categories.php for displaying category archives (because I needed to customize the output quite heavily.)

Nothing that I do with settings menu doesn’t change the result. I’m already hooking into pre_get_posts for event post type to change the amount of returned posts… would it be possible to modify the query for changing the scope too?
