• In my typical blogpost I will include a picture after every few paragraphs. I would love to add functionality so that the user, when he clicks on one of these pictures, opens a lightbox gallery that contains all pictures present in the blog. (first image being the one he clicked)

    Is something like this possible?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

  • Can you provide some examples of it?
In the lightbox you want the clicked image to be bigger and the other images from post to be as clickable thumbnails?

    Thanks for your reply.

That was indeed what I had in mind. The lightbox opens with the clicked image shown big and the other images that are part of the same post shown as clickable thumbnails (shown on the bottom or on the left or right side of the big image). Navigation to the other images would be possible with left/right arrows shown on the main (big) image or by clicking the thumbnails.

This demo of a lightbox gallery is a nice example of the look & feel and behavior I was thinking about : https://ilightbox.net/wordpress/
(only no arrows on the main image but that’s not a big deal)

    FancyBox3 (https://fancyapps.com/fancybox/3/#gallery-1) has similar functionality.

The only thing that stops me from using any of these two plugins is that they require the creation of a gallery where I have several separate images in one post. Actually the plugin should take the whole of my images in one post and act as if it was a gallery.
