Should You Expect a Good Widget/Plugin to Validate?

  • My Site’s HTML validates OK until I use other widgets or plugins. I’ve tried a couple of flickr plugins that call in images and the share this plugin. The Share This one seems to add its own attributes but the validator accuses the flicker plugins of missing end tags and other things.

    What should I expect from a plug in and I’m wondering if it is really a problem?

    I’ve moved from building straight-forward static sites where you could work at validation errors and fix them. The whole validation thing seemed to be really important.
