I have a page with a custom taxonomy that I paid for. I wonder whether this is creating problems for Google bots and SEO, either because of repetitive terms or some sort of linking difficulties. (I ranked MUCH higher before this went in years back.)

I wonder if I should a) consider these posts a “library” and move them to a separate website, if they are causing my SEO problems (?) or b) switch this area of my website to posts or pages using the “Custom Post Type” plug-in.

And, if it’s better to change over to the plug-in, how can I find a trustworthy person to help with this? (I have used sites like eLance and been burned too many times!!)

    Thanks in advance!

Hard for me to say what’s best to do here, to be honest. Based on that link provided, I already see you have an “ideas” post type and you’re able to filter based on age, type and “other” which I assume are the taxonomies and some of their terms.

I think it’s more around architecture and find-ability of that content more than how the content types are getting registered. For what it’s worth, Custom Post Type UI would only handle the registration of the content types, if you were to switch to making use of our plugin, but I don’t personally think that’s something that needs to be done or focused on.

It’s all more content audit and usage for you than anything else.
