I am creating a website that will post tips and tricks and guides on how to do things and what things are. What would be the best format to use (post or page) and why?

The guides and tips will not be time sensitive and if anything were to change I plan on going back and editing it. Comments would be optional but not required.

I read that posts are for timelyness and categorizing where pages are for static “about” and “home” pages. I planned to categorized pages with a parent page and the categories and sub categories within.

What should I do? Post or Pages and why? There is nothing online about this sort or question… which is surprising since a lot of websites are like this.

Edit: Here are three website examples of what I’m trying to create. What did they use?
