We’ll, I’ve searched all over for the error I’m having with my wordpress installation. A 10 second initial load delay. I load the website once, waiting 10 seconds about, then for the next 5 times I load the page it is fast. Then once again, a slow load. (https://www.funkystudios.co.cc) I noticed that it is only WordPress too. I installed Drupal (https://www.funkystudios.co.cc/drupal), and it seems to work just fine, with no slow initial load. Help? Please!! I’m considering making the Drupal switch….

One extra comment: When I type in my domain for the first time in a while, (when I know I’m going to get a slow load) and click refresh immediately after clicking “go” on my browser, it loads without the delay. weird…

Ahah! I found the solution! Our DNS Servers were set wrong in /etc/resolv.conf! Changed it to the correct one, and now it works fine! I’m still not sure why HTML pages were fast while WordPress was slow. Very strange…. Thanks for the help though!

    Thank you “K-Fella” (specifically)!
