Hello everyone i run a blog and i uploaded a plugin for mobile version of my site. This plugin wasn’t working correct so i deactivated and deleted it …
the thing is that even now it causes my site to misfunction when viewing it from a mobile phone and i dont know how to fix it.
I’m thinking of automatically reinstall wordpress.. should this fix the problem? if i reinstall wordpress do i lose anything from content or other scripts ???

  • Re-installing WordPress will give you a clean slate. I would back up your current site first, making sure you have the database and the wp-content folder. Also, copy the plugins folder as this is where all your plugins are stored.

Then with your clean install copy the wp-content folder over as well as the plugins. You may need to go in and re-configure the plugins or activate them. As long as you connect to the same database and use the same wp-content folder you should not lose any content on your existing site.

Before you go all *nuclear* here, you might want to try deactivating (temporarily) all your plugins, and then re-test your issue, just in case it’s another plugin that is causing problems on mobile devices.

Only takes a few seconds, and is preferable to *nuking and re-paving* your WordPress install.

    Just my $.02

thanx both of you for your answers!
It seemed that there was a conflict between the plugin that I installed and WP super cache. when I deactivated the second everything worked fine!
    thanx again!
