• I’ve had a lot of problems on my blogs, most of the errors seem to stem from plug ins that weren’t installed properly by the person who I’ve put in charge of maintaining the tech end of the blog.

If I were to deactivate and remove all of the plug ins myself, and then read all the instructions for installation and put all the plug ins I want to put in, would this be ok and nothing bad will happen to the blog?

  • Of course the plugins are not there for nothing, so some functionalities of your website may get lost. Other then that, nothing serious can happen.

    mesmerisedange,

deactivating plugins is fine .. what you need to realize is that because some plugins require adding code to theme files in order to function, you may also need to edit theme files to remove that bit of code as well.
