Should I enable AJAX to update view?

I want to cache the view counts, I’m OK that if its bit slow to update the views.

Should I check the option or not?

I just want to minimize the resource consumption while showing to the writers how well they performance. Its fine with a bit of inefficient.

It is totally up to you. If you are on a high traffic site, really high, I will not even recommend you to use any counter plugin because it will add load.

If yours is low to moderate traffic, then it doesn’t matter whether you use AJAX option of not. AJAX option is just to support users with Cache enabled.

So if I uncheck the AJAX option, is that mean the plugin will show the view count in real time? of course it will be more resource consumption.

Depends on whether you are using a caching plugin. If you are, it will not show. The AJAX option is just to enable counting of views if you are using a caching plugin. Nothing to do with the displaying of views.

Somehow even I select not to use AJAX, its still showing the view counts.

    Take a look:

    https://investmentwatchblog.com/just-like-our-founders-241-years-ago-we-need-to-unashamedly-declare-that-our-rights-come-to-us-from-god/

The view count is located at the bottom of the page.

As mentioned, that option has nothing to do with whether or not the view count is displayed. It just determines the method of counting the view. Via AJAX call or via loading the page.

    I see.

If this plugin can just display the view count from google analytic for each post, that would be awesome! Not only it can save the resource, but it will display a real time view counts for the site.
