    Hello,
WordPress MU Sitewide Tags Pages provides the option:-

    Post to main blog
Create posts in your main blog. All posts will appear on the front page of your site. Remember to to add a post loop to home.php in the theme directory if it exists.

    What does it mean?

1/ I am thinking that slecting that option makes the main blog to be indexed by search engines; even if you selected the option <<Tags pages will not be indexed by search engines.>>

2/I noticed that when I deactivate the plugin, the posts remain on the main blog taking new urls(replacing the permalink of the url with that of the main blog (example.com/blog/permalink/).
I am assuming that is an outcome of selecting the “Post to main blog” option.

    Am I right?

    Thank you in advance.

It means that sitewide tags will use the main site as the tags blog.

No, if you make the main blog the tags blog & have the don’t index checked then the main site will not be indexed.

I am assuming that is an outcome of selecting the “Post to main blog” option.

Post permalinks are generated on demand based on what your current settings are. WP assigns the post the standard permalink because SWT is no longer active.
