Should I delete old blog?

  • I first ran my blog at wordpress.com, then I bought a domain name and hosting which has Fantastico. I merged/imported all the information from the wordpress.com blog to the www.remarpro.com blog.

    I was just wondering whether I was able to delete the wordpress.com due to duplicate content (which is bad for SEO/search engines) or whether it had to stay up?

  • Can you put up a redirect on the old blog? You can do this with html, but I don’t know if WP.com allows you to do that.

    No you can’t put up a redirect but wp.com has an option of deleting the whole blog. As this isn’t related to the standalone wp.org version of wordpress this topic is closed.
