Shorten Listing..preview?

  • Hiya, just installed this and it’s great, but I’d like to shorten the the listing that appears on the directory page…currently it’s showing the entire listing then says “View Listing” at the bottom… I’d like it to just show a preview of the text and the logo image…the first couple of lines of text and then you have to click “View Listing” to read the entire listing. I’ve tried using the “Insert More” tag but it makes no difference. I also tried “excerpt” but that just gives me a “summary” and “description”, but both appear on the directory page.

    Any way of doing this? Thanks

    Orr…if it’s possible, just just have a logo image as the preview with “view listing” underneath?

    In such case you may fill in excerpt field with the first couple of lines of text and set this field to show only on excerpt pages, but main content field set to show on listings page.
    Look at ‘Directory Admin -> Content fields’ page.

    Thanks, that worked! Is it possible to change the text for the search boxes? I would like to remove the “What Search” and just have “Search”. Not sure what php file to edit though.

    Also, the buttons…possible to change them? The favourites/print buttons etc. Would like them to match my styling. Thanks.

    Oh, also, is it possible to make the logo image appear bigger? At the mo it’s pretty small, would like it to fill the box height wise on the directory page, if that makes sense.
