Shorten cookie domain

Hi,

I want to use the plugin GDPR Cookie Consent & Compliance for a site with different sub-domains. Unfortunately the plugin uses the full hostname as cookie domain. This prevents efficient use on multi the sub-domain website.

I saw in the code (cookie-law-info-public.js) that there is some code to shorten the cookie domain, if its start with “www”. This would help me in my case. But this code is executed only, if the life time of the cookie is < 1. (Line 16)

I do not understand, why the domain shortening is executed only for cookie with lifetime < 1 day. Is it possible to extend the shortening to all cookies independent of the lifetime?
