shortcodes on woocommerce 2.4.12 not working

  • Difficult to tell remotely, but is it true that your shortcodes inside text widgets are not working, but shortcodes in page content are working?

    If so, note that the default is that shortcodes don’t work when used inside text widgets. To enable shortcodes in text widgets, use this line in functions.php:

    add_filter( 'widget_text', 'do_shortcode');

    Maybe this line was overwritten by your update.

    Do I put this in the functions.php in the theme file? If so, it did not work.
