    Hi,

I noticed that my table that uses a shortcode isn’t working any more. This is the formula in the cells :

    EUR: =[convert number={C2} dp=0 from=”gbp” to=”eur”]

    USD: =[convert number={C2*1.018} dp=0 from=”gbp” to=”usd”]

    C2 is a number. I didn’t use shortcodes_before_formulas=true .

The plugin used for the shortcode is Open Currency Converter

    See https://tarntotalcalm.com/test/ for the results.

It has worked fine for years. Could this have something to do with the new release?

    Thanks.

    Marleen

update: It has something to do with the double quotes . I changed ” to ‘ in the formulas : =[convert number={C2} dp=0 from=’gbp’ to=’eur’] and it works again when I don’t use shortcodes_before_formulas=true .

See the link, second half of the table has the formula with single quotes.

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

Can you please check if these are “normal” quotation marks " that you used or maybe “curly” ones (which would be the wrong ones)?

That said, you actually don’t need any quotation marks in these Shortcodes (neither double nor single ones). I would therefore recommend to just get rid of them entirely, to rule out such problems.

Then, using the Shortcodes before formulas Extension does actually not make sense here. You actually want to the formula to be evaluated first, right? So that the Shortcode uses the (calculated) number and converts that as a currency?

    Regards,
    Tobias

Thank you for your quick response. I used the normal quotation marks. But you are right, apparently I don’t need them at all! I’ll remove them to prevent problems in the future. Thanks!

And yes, you are also right about the Shortcodes before formulas Extension, I do want the formula to be evaluated first.

    Thank you!

    Best regards

    Hi,

So can you confirm that everything works with the Shortcodes before formulas NOT in use and after removing those quotation marks?
    Or does the problem persist?

    Regards,
    Tobias
