Shortcodes not working after updating to WordPress 3.9

  • What changed in WordPress 3.9 where shortcodes are no longer inserted into posts and pages?

    I need to update a plugin I own, but I am a php novice and usually reverse engineer and find out how to fix the problems. I just need to know where to look.

    I upgraded to 3.9 today and noticed others are having similar issues with different plugins.

    Best guess – those plugins are doing something The Wrong Way(tm). Have you reviewed the Shortcode_API?

    If you define WP_DEBUG as true in wp-config.php, WordPress will sometimes tell you exactly where and how a plugin is doing something The Wrong Way(tm). At least for common errors that developers have anticipated. There’s no predicting all the ways someone might do something The Wrong Way(tm).

    Well I decided to try elance to solve this issue as well as other things I need implemented.
