Hello! First I want to say this plugin is great and I’m excited to use it on my website. It’s working great for reviewing pages on my site. However I’m having some difficulty showing reviews for assigned users.

I’m trying to use the shortcode [site_reviews assigned_users=”profile_id”] in a profile field (using Ultimate Member) so people can see a specific users review when they visit their profile. Is this possible?

I also tried using user_id, but it also shows nothing.

Any help would be appreciated! Thank you.

Have the reviews been assigned to your users?

There is a difference between a review author and an assigned user. The author is the person who submitted the review. The assigned user is the person that the review was assigned to (like how a product can have multiple reviews assigned to it even though the product did not write them).

Ah that was it, they hadn’t been assigned yet.

Is there something available in the Site Reviews Premium package that would assign authors automatically based on who is logged in?

    Thanks!

Sorry, I misread your previous comment. Sounds like I don’t need to assign the user since I just want to display the authors reviews on the authors profile. However when I use [site_reviews assigned_users=”author_id”] through an Ultimate Member profile form it does not show anything. Any ideas why?

You do need to assign reviews to your authors. This is done by adding the assigned_users option to the [site_reviews_form] shortcode.

OK, I got it working after assigning each review to each user.

So the reviews are automatically assigning the author, is there a way that they can be automatically assigned to a user based on the author (who is logged in) submitting the review? Or a way to easily identify who submitted the review from the dashboard without needing to click edit for each review?

Have you read the documentation for the available assigned_users option values on the Site Reviews > Help & Support > Shortcodes page?

Yes, I’ve been using the short codes provided there.

[site_reviews assigned_users=”profile_id”] shows reviews on a users profile only if the reviews are manually assigned the user.

If that’s the way it’s supposed to work that’s ok, I am just wondering if there’s anything available in the premium or if there’s something I can do that could help me assign a lot of reviews faster/automatically that will show up on a profile page.

    Thanks.

use the option on the review form also.

Ah, I see. I am using a theme that has this plugin baked in so finding this was a bit difficult. [site_reviews_form assigned_posts=”post_id” assigned_users=”user_id”] worked for me.

    Thank you very much
