    Hi There!…

Great plugin, I appreciate all the hard work that you put into development. IMO this is the #1 responsive menu plugin in the WP repository and my absolute go-to, I can’t thank you enough :}. That being said, I upgraded to the newest version today and my shortcode in the text area are no longer working. The short code is showing in-line code rather than displaying what I’m calling on it to display.

Also on desktop (I’m using Mozilla Firefox for development) when I snap the website into responsive mode the burger icon is no longer visible however on mobile it displays fine.

Again this happened upon upgrade… everything was running on all cylinders prior.

Thank you again… looking forward to your response!

    Hey codedaddy,

Thanks for your kind words in regards the plugin. I hope I can continue to keep you happy by solving your issues.

Do you have a site URL I can check to see the issues you are facing as its quite difficult to debug without something to look at.

Also are you talking about the “Additional Content” box for the shortcode area that is not displaying the shortcode output correctly.

My sites are working with shortcodes in that box but I will take another look for you.

Do you have the specific shortcode that is not displaying?

    All the best

Thank you for getting back to me, I appreciate the speedy support!…

Strike the second issue pertaining to the burger icon not displaying in FF. Though I cleared Super Cache, my local cache needed to be cleared as well… All good on that front!

Still no go with the shortcodes in the “Additional Content” text area though. The web url that I performed the upgrade on and am having the shortcode issue with is https://www.alexanderpdr.com/

    Many thanks my friend!

    Hey Alex,

I just tried again on all my dev sites and all of them worked with the shortcodes.

Have you tried calling those specific shortcodes in the theme somewhere to make sure those shortcodes do actually exist on your site?

I’m not sure what else could be the cause as I have tested it multiple times.

I don’t know what else to suggest bar allowing me access to the site to take a look.

Also what version of the plugin do you have installed?

    All the best

Yes… the shortcodes are called upon in other areas of the website. As a test, I also attempted to embed a number of other theme based shortcodes with no luck. Again… everything was running fine until the 3.X upgrade, I’m also perplexed.

I was running v3.0.1 at the time of my first post, I just upgraded to v3.0.2 this morning, the issue still persists (I am also running the latest version of WP). As a temporary workaround, I took the shortcode out until a fix can be figured out. ??

I will attempt to upgrade other themes to the 3.0.2v of Responsive Menu in my testing environment that have shortcodes. This will narrow it down to either the theme or plugin… I’ll keep you posted on that front.

On a side note… Just like any new build version coming out of beta, I expect there to be bugs… This issue in no way degrades your fabulous responsive menu plugin. I am without a doubt your biggest fan and supporter in my immediate wordpress development community.

    Hey codedaddy,

That is strange – is the theme you are using freely available so I can download it and try it out for myself as all the shortcodes Ive tried are working fine.

Thanks for your understanding regarding the beta. I am trying desperately to iron out all the bugs as now it’s gone live all the special cases that I couldn’t test for are showing themselves.

With over 120 options the combination of options is over 14,000 so it makes it very difficult to test every eventuality by myself but I’m giving it a go!

Thanks for your kind words in regards the plugin, I really hope we can get to the bottom of this issue for you so you can carry on using it with full confidence!

    All the best

    Hey codedaddy,

Do you have any updates on my above comment?

    Hey codedaddy,

I’m going to mark this as resolved as I haven’t heard anything back for 4 days now.

Of course if you want to re-open it simply mark it as un-resolved amd post a reply and I will be happy to help but it will stop it popping up in my to do list.

    All the best
