Shortcodes in access message

Why cant we use any shortcodes in the access message editor?
I wanted to use my shortcodes that i created wit maxbuttons so that i have 2 buttons on the message page. One with register and one with login where u can push on so u go to the register page or the login page.
How do i get buttons in the access message editor?
