Shortcodes/Html in featured text with modern style

I installed Customizr using the modern style design. I need to use shortcodes and html in the featured text boxes using the modern style design. In the classical design there is snippet that works, please see link below, however it does not work for the modern design. How can I make this work with the new modern design?
