    An inquiry

Within the purchase form, we have added new fields, and within this field the default value is a Shortcode. Until a few days ago it has worked normally, but with the last update it does not show the value, only the shortcode. That is [IP] is the shortcode, and it must show the IP of the User, before it showed the IP but now it only shows the value [IP].

Outside the payment form, the shortcodes work normally.

  • Hi @inforcomweb,

    Thank you for reaching out.

I understand your concern about the shortcode [IP] not displaying the user’s IP address in the purchase form after the recent update.

Just to understand your issue even further, are you using any plugin to handle the IP shortcode from your store?

Yes, we are using the plugin “Flexible Checkout Fields Pro” but we have also used other similar plugins like “WooCommerce Checkout Fields & Fees” “WooCommerce Checkout Field Editor Pro” “Woocommerce Easy Checkout Field Editor” “YITH WooCommerce Checkout Manager” and none works, the strange thing is that before the last update the plugin “Flexible Checkout Fields Pro” works normally, ie the checkout form showed the actual value of the shortcode.

    Hi again @inforcomweb,

Thank you for sharing further details on this.

This can sometimes occur when there are compatibility issues with the new version of WooCommerce.

As a step to troubleshoot the issue even further, I suggest you try the following steps:

    1. Ensure all your plugins, themes, and WooCommerce itself are updated to the latest version. This can resolve any compatibility issues.
    2. Disable all other plugins except for WooCommerce and “Flexible Checkout Fields Pro”. If the issue resolves, then one of your plugins might be causing a conflict. You can identify the problematic plugin by enabling them one by one and checking when the issue reappears.
    3. If the issue persists, try switching to a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty-Four. If this resolves the issue, then the problem could be with your theme.

If none of these steps work, I would recommend reaching out to the support team of “Flexible Checkout Fields Pro” as they may have more specific knowledge about their plugin.

    I hope this helps!
