Shortcodes: closing shortcode tag in template not processed

Hi there

I’ve been trying to use shortcodes in my templates, and they work fine if they’re one-off shortcodes. However if I try to wrap some other code in shortcodes, the closing shortcode tag (eg [/shortcode]) doesn’t get processed and is simply printed to screen.

I can’t find anything in the codex or forums, or on the wider web, about this issue.

Anyone know something I’m missing?
