Trying to be “brief and descriptive” ??

Two weeks ago – the last time that I tested this – The user opened a page on my wordpress (4.5.2) website, clicked on a url generated by a shortcode, and one of 272 puzzles is loaded into my Android app on their smartphone.

Now – on my WordPress website:
    – The shortcode is still returning the correct string for the URL. I know this because if I display it as pure text it is correct; but
    – The string returned by the shortcode is being corrupted when it is evaluated on the website as a link. For example
    — the string “cogismo://M2M3P2E8F4S1N8T7K7” – which is correct – is now being evaluated as the link
    — “//M2M3P2E8F4S1N8T7K7”

The result is that when a user clicks on the link on my wordpress website, my app no longer launches.

Any help would be much appreciated. Note that I haven’t changed ANYTHING on my website in the last four weeks.

    Thanks in advance
