    Hi:

I just need help to delete the shortcode [t4b-ticker] on my company blog. When I desactivate or delete the plugin, the shortcode stays and mess my header.

I wish I could share my web but I can’t for privacy issues, but you can figure it’s a shotcode that still appears on the header even when I delete it.

    How could I solve it?

    First time that happens.

    Hello cristianvk,

Thanks for contacting us. Our plugin doesn’t set the shortcode on your website automatically. You have to place the shortcode manually. So, you also need to remove the shortcode manually. On plugin deactivation, it will not remove automatically. Contact your developer who has placed the shortcode in your theme to remove the shortcode. Hope you understand.

    Hi!

    Thanks for your answer.

The developer who did this is not working anymore in our company. Could you tell me how to remove this shortcode manually and where?

    Kind regards.

Sorry, I don’t know if I have made the question properly.

I would like to know in which kind of file can I find the shortcode in order to delete it.

    Thanks in advance.

There are several ways to put shortcodes in your theme. It may have been placed directly in a theme file. In this case, you need to know which file contains it. In most cases it is usually in the header.php file. Again, shortcodes can be placed on posts and pages. If the homepage of the theme is created from a page, then you need to go to the edit option of that page and remove the short code from there. If you can’t do these things yourself, you can hire a professional.
