Shortcode Scope: n-days, n-weeks?

One of my customers has a use-case for displaying events occurring in the next 7 (or 8) days including today – on a specific Page. I gather from the docs that the only way they can currently accomplish this via shortcode is to set the start and end date manually and then update those dates once per week.

Do you have any future plans to support any variation on, for example, “next n days”, “today + n days”, “this week”, or “n-weeks” in events shortcode scope filtering?

My customer would surely find those options helpful.
