Shortcode question

I’m using the latest version of vslider (4.1.2).

Using shortcode: [vslider name=”abc”] (abc is replaced with “homeslide” because that’s the name of my slider).

I dropped this shortcode in a text widget. It’s not working. Doesn’t even show my slider. Does shortcode not work in this version? Anyone know why it’s not working?
