shortcode placement not clear

I am trying to add the code do_shortcode(‘[amp-supremacy-sitemap]’) to footer.php as instructed. should this be in <?php echo … OR just paste it as is anywhere? Please indicate the complete code to be added to footer.php and where exactly, and you will probably merit 5 stars from me
