Shortcode [password_url]

    Hi Jack, when I set a notification to send an email with the option ‘new user registration (for user)’ not work property for me. This option not send any e-mail ??

    Another thing is, the shortcode [password_url] not work… When I try to implement in another notification options (for example in new user welcome email) noting happens…

    What I doing wrong?!

    Thanks for your message.

    Can you confirm that you’re not using multisite and are using the latest versions of WordPress and BNFW?

    Also, the [password_url] only works for the ‘New User Registration – For User’ notification.

    Ok, are you able to install the Email Log plugin and re-test to see if it was sent out but not received?

    Jack, I see in email log plugin, wordpress default notification sends but not the BNFWP plugin notification if I select ‘New User Registration – For User’ if I select ‘New User – Welcome Email’ the notification send but the shortcode [password_url] not work… =/

    Also, the [password_url] only works for the ‘New User Registration – For User’ notification.

    This is the only notification that WordPress allows you to send the password URL link in.

    Are you using multisite?

    No, I don’t use the multisite.
    If the option ‘New User Registration – For User’ not work I can do something to fix it? I try to send to new users the a password link reset also…

    When I click in ‘Send Me a Test Email’ the test has send… But when the user make the register in site no…

    I start to think maybe this problem are doing because of GF (gravity form). I use the registration addon to register new users… Maybe this is the point… Thinking a little more, if GF is the problem, the ‘welcome e-mail’ will not work also right?, but it works…

    How I can do to confirm that?

    Hi theodorocaliari,
    Ah, yes – you’re right.
    Currently, BNFW doesn’t work particularly well with posts / pages / users / etc. created using front-end forms.

    This is because Gravity Forms is adding users slightly differently and so BNFW can’t detect when a new user is added.

    I am looking at improving this but it’s tricky to do.

    Sorry I can’t help more with this issue but hope you find a solution that works for you.
