Shortcode parameters not rendered any more

hi, all of a sudden, the shortcode stopped rendering the various html snippets (before and after posts / post) and just displays them as a list (i guess the default output). what could cause this?

nothing has been modified on the code or the affected page at all – just suddenly it stopped working
