Shortcode not working in widget

Hi there, great plugin. I like the options page in the backend.
The shortcode works in the post content, but not in a widget. I tried the default text widget as well as Otto’s PHP code widget with all other plugins disabled on twenty fifteen, fourteen and twelve.
