Installed AALB and added all appropriate access keys and all marketplaces. Shortcode generator appears in WP page editor, successfully searches, and generates code. Code is successfully inserted into body of page using text tab but nothing is displayed in preview or published page. Based on my search on this topic, this is not a known issue and there are several pieces of information required to troubleshoot. I have created and published a test page for this purpose (linked below).

Here is the list of required data, as best as I can surmise.

    1. Browser version on which you are facing the issue.
    Answer: Chrome, Firefox & MS-Edge
    2. Does the issue occur on all browsers or only a specific browser?
    A: All
    3. PHP version
    A: 7.0.31
    4. WordPress version
    A: 4.9.8
    5. PHP error logs
A: Notice: Trying to get property of non-object in /home3/donaldwe/public_html/wp-includes/class-wp-query.php on line 3736
    6. List of plugins installed on your system:

    AddToAny Share Buttons
    Amazon Associates Link Builder
    Broken Link Checker
    Error Log Monitor
    EWWW Image Optimizer
    GDPR Cookie Consent
    iframe
    Image Widget
    Imcoming Links
    Jetpack by WordPress.com
    Really Simple SSL
    Social Login (inactive)
    TinyMCE Advanced (inactive)
    Use Google Libraries (inactive)
    Velvet Blues Update URLs (inactive)
    WordPress Importer
    WP Super Cache
    WP-SpamShield
XML Sitemap & Google News Feeds (inactive)

    7. Operating System version
    Windows 10 Home
    Version 1803
    OS BUild 17134.228
    8. Browser console log error (if any) generated at the time of the error:
    Link to image file here
(Note: I can’t tell if these messages were generated at the time of the error or previously.)
    9. Web server version
    A: Apache 2.2.34

My Amazon iframe links are being blocked by adblocker on chrome and I’m hoping the AALB Shortcode will provide a workaround, if someone can help me get it working.

A profound thank you in advance for any help with this issue!

No matter what I try, there is no way to embed Amazon Associates widgets or image links in a way that will not be blocked by ad block plugins and extensions. With more than half of the web browsing world using ad blockers now, the link builder is nothing but a jumbo a waste of time. Text links are the only way to take advantage of having an affiliate agreement now. Give up on the link builder while you still have your sanity.

    Dear @pewestlake,

Sincere apologies for the delayed response.
Check if in your shortcode the opening single quote has been replaced by a closing single quote (This is generally done by custom editors or other plugins you might be using). This causes issues during rendering.
We looked into shortcode on your test page and found that ‘ was replaced by ’ .

    Dear @amazonlinkbuilder,

I already removed the Amazon link builder from my site and moved on. I’m not going to bother reinstalling and trying to fix something that clearly isn’t ready for prime time. I’m also not interested in spending the next several years, in ten-week increments, troubleshooting a product that is obviously an incredibly low priority for you.

When you have a plugin that actually works, and isn’t rendered invisible by standard ad blockers, I’ll be happy for you and even possibly mildly interested.

    Until then, good luck.
