Hello, I love the plug-in and the idea. I have a google sheet linked to it and I’m pulling in fields.

My instance is built with elementor pro and has social media icons and a map. I’m trying to add shortcodes to the social icons piece within elementor but it’s not rendering them. It only outputs Facebook url, which has shortcode {{mpg_facebook}} as https://mpg_facebook rather than the actual value from the page.

The shortcodes don’t seem to work when used in this manner. Although I’m using the shortcode section field in elementor social icons.

    What can I do here?

  • Hi @azmun!

This may occur due to Elementor, which uses native WordPress validators for links and it may trim the curly brackets, resulting in displaying the actual link, as you mentioned it happens. You could try to add the HTML code of the social icon in an HTML block and check if it is correctly displayed this way.

    I hope it helps!
