Shortcode not liking

Hey team! We love this plugin and what it can do!

When using the shortcode alone on a page, the button doesn’t stay liked and never ends up in the favorites.

It does work if we have it before or after the content, but that doesn’t work with our design and we need to use the shortcode.

I am sure we are missing something simple to get this to work! Can the author or a user who does it the same way explain to us how to get this to work?
