Shortcode not executing on new query same page

  • I’m using WP Grid Builder to display filtered posts in a grid. The [kk-star-ratings] shortcode works on the first page of results, but if it loads a new query within the same page (via ajax), the shortcode does not seem to execute, and the new results will not show any stars. Is there an action hook or jquery function call I need to be firing to set the shortcode to run again on the same page?

    Update: the stars appear on a staging site using WP Staging but not the live site. Reverting to v4.2 also restores the stars.

    I’ve narrowed it down to permalinks. If set to Plain, the shortcode works fine. Any other permalink setting breaks it.
