    Im using woocommerce Version 3.3.1

I have tried different formats variations etc with no successful results.
No matter what category i put in it shows all products.
I’ve tried single and double quotes just in case.
Ive spent a good 5 hours on this with no luck.

    [products limit=’100′ columns=’4′ category=’bags’ orderby=’title’ order=’ASC’]

    [product_category category=”bags” limit=”100″ columns=”4″ orderby=”title” order=”ASC”]

They all show the same full list of products.. WTF!??
I REALLY need to filter by a specific category and it will not comply.

    This is driving me NUTS!!
    Thanks for any help!

Your shortcodes have some funky special quotes going on, it’s important to not use special quotes in shortcodes. Could just be from pasting here though – just make sure to use normal quotes: [products limit='10' category='music']

I just tested the above shortcode on WooCommerce 3.3.1 and it worked as expected. So if it doesn’t filter down categories for you, then something must be causing problems with the query – either your theme or another plugin.

OK that works as long as limit=10 if i change it to anything ABOVE 10 it then doesn’t work.

could that also be a theme issue? it does the same thing in twenty seventeen theme so im not sure.

Hmm, setting the limit to 100 doesn’t affect it for me – it still only shows the category in question.

Go to WooCommerce > Status > Tools and clear all Transients.

If the problem still occurs, disable all plugins except for WooCommerce. Then clear transients and test again.

Still no joy trying both methods.
    This really is confusing.

We do have paid support for woocommerce so if you like i can submit a ticket and we can continue working on it from there?

Sure, go ahead and submit a ticket and we can help further there.

Can tell you now though there is a 99% chance there is a plugin, theme, or plugin + theme conflict.

Yeah I would think so. but even after turning off all plugins and switching to 2017 theme it makes it really strange.

    Subitting the ticket now. thanks!
