shortcode issue: extra spacing around shortcodes

  • Hi!

    I am using shortcodes from two plugins, WP Shopping Cart and Paid Downloads, with the theme XO Responsive Creative, in this page to add the “buy now” buttons:

    I want the buttons to appear next to the text, but both shortcodes cause extra spacing so that the buttons are very far from the text.

    Someone had recommended placing this in the functions.php file, but it didn’t help:

    And someone else suggested using [raw] [/raw] around the shortcodes, too, which didn’t help either.

    Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    As an update – I tried other themes – this seems to be a WordPress issue as its persistent across themes.

    Does anyone have ANY idea why WordPress separates shortcodes so much, and is there any way at all to stop this from happening?
