Shortcode insertion

    Before the owner of the website I manage reset all of the blocks we were using, I was able to use {adinserter 5} for example, to insert our ads into posts.

    Now that we’ve rebuilt all the blocks, we’re having to use [adinserter block=”5″] because {adinserter 5} won’t work. But this is no good because we used {adinserter 5} for hundreds of past posts, and we need them to work again.

    Is there something we did wrong in the settings or something we can change to get {adinserter 5} to work again?

    The easiest approach would be to replace all old short codes with the new ones.
    With Search Regex plugin you can do it with few clicks.
    Just make sure you have backed up the site/database before you make changes.
