Shortcode in Widget no longer works

So last year i used this plugin and in the widget area i made a text widget and pasted the shortcode: [seo_image_rotator id=1]

into it and it was great, showed up perfectly, now however this no longer seems to be the case, is there another way around this without using it in the template and echoing it, or will this be fixed soon?
