Shortcode – How to exclude one of the categories

    I’m trying to use the shortcode “eo_events” to fetch events various listing pages. I would like to exclude some categories on some pages. From what I read, I believe that I need to use taxonomies, but i’m unable to figure out from where to start?

    Could you please lead me to some documentation/tips/samples?
