Shortcode for user who updated a post

When you say “I have been using your plugin for 2 years or so, and it used to work. But after one of your update, it stopped”, can you explain which part of it has stopped working for you? If you’re referring to the shortcode that showed the name of the user who updated the post, can you tell me which shortcode you were using?

As per the documentation, you can use the [post_update_author] shortcode to show the user who updated the post.

Hello and sorry for the delay. Been very busy lately….

Yes when I wrote “it doesn’t work anymore’, I was only refering to the issue described.

So I tried the shortcode you suggested but I am still having issues.

But there was another major change on my website, I am now using the Editus plugin so authors can edit a post from front, without going to back office : https://edituswp.com/

What happens is when authors are updating a post using Editus, the notification says the admin updated it (only one admin in this website). Authors can only update posts that are under their own name.

So, I suppose this has to do with Editus since all was working okay before using it..

Yes, it sounds like the Editus plugin is causing this issue. You’d need to get in touch with the plugin author and see if there’s anything they can do with regards to ensuring the author’s username is used for the update author instead of the original post author.
