when i try “episodes” instead of “episode” the shortcode dont work.

[podcast_playlist series=”Paul Gerhardt”] this shortcode works as i want it but the order of the podcasts is not correct

Did you try the order parameter? Also, the series parameter expects a series slug, not a series name. So, it should look something like this:

[podcast_playlist series="paul-gerhardt" order="DESC"]
