shortcode does not work

    The shortcode looks fine but is interpreted as text. Does any other shortcode work in this widget?

    Hi,
    I inserted a Contact-Form-7 shortcode in the widget and it worked fine.

    Yep, you a right wp-forecast shortcodes does not work in text widgets. You can use the wp-forecast widget directly until this is supported by wp-forecast.
