Shortcode $content not showing in Custom Post Type

    I have an enclosing type shortcode that includes $content. The shortcode works fine in regular Posts/Pages however in a custom post type it breaks. The shortcode still “works” but insofar as to return the html string with the default variables. Any attributes and custom $content defined in the post are lost.

    Do custom post types need to have shortcodes enabled?

    Disregard. It would appear that the plugin W3 Total Cache was preventing the shortcode from registering post type. Wish I would have discovered that before spending hours editing code trying to solve this.
