shortcode changes theme display

Hello,
First of all, let me say that this plugin does EXACTLY what I need it to do, and it works great. Thank you!
The one downside is that it seems to have altered some CSS changes I had made to my theme. It only occurs on the pages where I have used the shortcode. I tried deactivating the plugin, and things returned to normal.
The changes I had made were to .post_comments .post_by and .page_title2 .container. Do you have any idea what adjustments I need to make to the plugin code so that the changes show up again?
