Shortcode automaticallydisappears: Why?

  • I have used the shortcode [current_date format=’Y’] and the year was correctly applied to my page.

    The isse is that when I reopen the page to edit its content, the shortcode is not there anymore.

    Is it normal for the shortcode to disappear from the Edit mode in WordPress? How then will the date update in a year if the shortcode is not there anymore?

    Are you aware of some incompatibilities between this shortcode and some plugins? I’m using GeneratePress theme, GenerateBlocks and the SEOPress plugins.
