Shortcode appears not to work

  • Hi

    I have used the shortcode [events_calendar] on one of my pages but I keep getting a 404 page not found error.

    The Calendar page I have as a sub page of the parent Events page.

    If I bring the calendar to the top level it works with the shortcode, but not as a child page.

    Why is this please?

  • Hello,

    The problem may not be on the shortcode but on the page itself? Have you tried putting a plain text only on the said sub-page and check if the page is loading properly? Please also make sure that you have enough permissions to access the page.

    Yes and Yes.

    I an Administrator….

    As I said the shortcode works as long as I do not give the page a parent.

    Please advise
